About Us

HISTORY: The Clairemont Covenant Church in l976 founded Noah’s Ark Preschool as a morning enrichment weekday program. It is licensed by the state of California and is open to children of all races and religions. During the summer of 2005 the school was completely remodeled and modernized.

The staff of Noah's Ark Preschool are well qualified by training and previous preschool experience to guide the children with understanding, warmth and love. The staff members get to know all the children in the school so that there is a feeling of "family" throughout the school. The staff are all Christians. The main goal at the school is to help the child obtain his fullest potentialities spiritually, physically, mentally, emotionally, socially, and creatively.

HOURS: 9:00 am to 12:00 noon

EXTENDED HOURS: Early Drop Off from 8am to 9am;

Lunch Bunch from 12 noon to 1:00 (Monday through Thursday)

CURRICULUM: Art, Cooking, Science, Social Skills, Group Time, Outside Play, Language Development, Small Muscle Development, Bible Stories and Music

PLACEMENT AND STAFF RATIO:

15 children per classroom with two adult leaders. Children placed according to age groupings.

The purpose of our school is to build a sense of wholeness in the child. Our atmosphere is one in which the child may develop in all areas with caring adults to help guide the way.

PHILOSOPHY AND GOALS: Goals for the children include developing a sense of God’s wonderful world, learning to interact within a group setting, practicing skills needed for formal academic learning and to introduce basic Christian attitudes.
